1Password X secure notes undocumented Markdown behavior?

On 1Password X 1.19.1, any text surrounded by single asterisks (example *demo*) is automatically italicized. Is this intentional behavior? It is not mentioned in the documentation at https://support.1password.com/markdown/

    Thanks for pointing this out, @ashley_b! You're right, it doesn't look like using asterisks to italicize is mentioned on our support page. I'll let my team know we need to get it added since that's expected behavior.
