Constant 1Password wants to use 1password.com dialog.
From today I've been constantly seeing this Safari dialog appear saying "1Password 7.app" wants to use "1password.com" to sign in. I don't use Safari and I don't know why this is appearing so I've been clicking cancel. Everytime it shows the first time I click cancel is shows a second time. It seems to show most often just after I resume from suspending my macbook pro by opening the lid.
1Password Version: 7.5 (70500003)

OS Version: OS X 10.15.5

Yes, maybe 30 seconds after starting 1Password the dialog showed again.

If you're using Duo with any of your 1Password accounts then this would be expected. Unfortunately we don't control the text / icon for that dialogue, or we'd make it more clear that this is an official request and it is related to authorizing the 1Password for Mac app to speak to your 1Password account. Sorry for the confusion. You need to hit continue or your data won't sync properly.

What is Duo?

Duo is a Two-Factor Authentication system that your account may be using: https://duo.com

I just updated to Big Sur and am now experiencing this same thing. I use Duo and understand the purpose of the dialogue, but wonder if there's a way to make this permission persistent - something along the lines of an Always Allow button.

The dialog is part of how we've chosen to implement Duo. Apple provides an API called ASWebAuthenticationSession that allows running these specific kinds of authentications.

On behalf of Rudy, you're welcome.

Silver lining- I can now authenticate with my Yubikey rather than having to send a push to Duo!
