How do I change the name of my account?

i tried to change the name of my individual account by deleting the software and re-downloading. when i try to set up a new account, it says that email is already taken.

    I'd be happy to help with that. To set up a new account using the same email address you'd need to delete the old account – not just the software. Deleting the software doesn't delete the account. If you know the credentials for the existing account you can sign in at https://my.1password.com/ and delete it from there. If you do not have the credentials, https://my.1password.com/support can help.
