1Password mini does not open from menubar (after hardware upgrade)

I just upgraded my hardware. I went from a 2017 15" MacBookPro to a brand-new 16" MacBook Pro. I had made a clone backup of my 2017 model using SuperDuper! and used that as a source of all my information for the Migration Assistant.

Everything looks like it’s back to normal. I have the 1Password extension in Safari turned on:

but the 1Password toolbar button is present only intermittently (see https://youtu.be/ApB0GTAFq_4). When I click on 1Password mini in the menubar, nothing opens.

How can I fix this?

1Password Version: 7.5
Extension Version: 7.5
OS Version: 10.15.5
Sync Type: iCloud

It seems like an uninstall followed by a re-install of the 1Password app fixed my problem. Perhaps someone from AgileBits can explain what had been going on.

  • Hi @DominikHoffmann

I'm glad to hear a reinstall fixed it. This can happen if you have more than one copy of 1Password connected to a system, such as a copy on a clone drive as well as a copy in the /Applications folder.
