Touch ID on 1Password but not for unlocking phone?
I'm trying to get my parents to improve their security by using a password manager. I don't have an iPhone but they both use one (iPhone 6).
They really hate having to enter a PIN or use TouchID to unlock their phones to the point where they just disable all unlocking security.
So is it at all possible to unlock the phone without requiring a PIN or TouchID, but still use TouchID for unlocking the 1Password app, or does TouchID have to be enabled globally to work anywhere?
Thanks!

So once it's enabled, is it mandatory that it will always be used to unlock the phone or is there a way to unlock without it (or disable locking entirely)?
Thanks!

If Touch ID fails then it falls back to a passcode but there are specific situations. You may be able to find out more by visiting the Apple support pages.
https://support.apple.com/HT201371 and https://support.apple.com/HT204587
We also have situations here we would require the Master Password to be entered, and they can be found here. On such example is a device restart.

Thanks, I'll look at Apple's support to see if I can find a reasonable solution.
