Have just begun to use the GPG Tools suite.

In Apple Mail 12.4 on 10.14.6

Anyone got any advice, please, on best practice for storing (public and private) Keys, passwords, fingerprints etc in 1Password (7.5): item type, how secure etc?

Thanks!

    Hi @Mark Sealey!

    The category you choose to store these keys is up to you, they can all work for these. Some people use the Password category, some others use the Server category. If you are not sure or don't have any particular preference, perhaps your best choice would be to use a secure note, so you can format the note and the order of its contents based on your preference.

    Thanks so much, @ag_ana; very helpful!

    Is Secure Note in any way more secure - as such - than Password, which is where I have them now, please?

    @Mark Sealey:

    The security level is the same: everything inside your 1Password app is encrypted the same way, no matter what category you decide to store your data in ;)
