1Password Mini Safari extension stops working after eGPU disconnection

I have a BlackMagic eGPU that I use at my home, plugged into my MacBook Pro 16". The computer sleeps at night while plugged into the eGPU, and in the morning I often unplug it from the eGPU and take it elsewhere. When I do wake the Mac up again, the 1Password Mini extension stops working in Safari. It does not respond to the key command, nor does it respond to clicking in the menu bar.

Strangely, 1Password Mini is working fine when I tap it from any other app, but in Safari, neither the key command nor tapping the menu bar does anything.

Restarting Safari usually works, but that's really disruptive to do every morning.

Hi @rbruels! Welcome to the forum!

I don't have an eGPU to test this, but I wonder if that is really the cause of the problem. Do you see the same behavior after you wake up your Mac from sleep, and the eGPU is not connected?
