European server IP addresses
Probably just a naive question: when I use traceroute to see where my data goes on its way to my.1password.eu I just see US servers as destination (at least US IPs).
Is this due to 1Password using AWS? European AWS are hosted in Frankfurt/Germany AFAIK. That's why I thought to see some German IPs ..
Can you explain please?

Hi @basurerito!
I have tried the traceroute command on my machine too, and I was wondering how you were checking for the country exactly? The results I get here are all in Europe.

Which DNS server/service do you use?
And how is it configured?

hmm, yesterday I simply used my smartphone (Network Analyzer Pro) and it shows me the endpoint being in USA (Amazon though).
Today I re-checked with standard
traceroute
(TCP mode) andgeoiplookup
and got the results I expected:# traceroute -T my.1password.eu traceroute to my.1password.eu (18.184.82.35), 30 hops max, 60 byte packets 1 <snip> 2 <snip> 3 <snip> 4 <snip> 5 80.157.207.26 (80.157.207.26) 20.095 ms <snip> 6 52.93.39.116 (52.93.39.116) 22.515 ms <snip> 7 52.93.39.141 (52.93.39.141) 13.557 ms <snip> 8 54.239.45.16 (54.239.45.16) 23.961 ms <snip> [...] 26 ec2-18-184-82-35.eu-central-1.compute.amazonaws.com (18.184.82.35) 25.255 ms * 26.159 ms
and
# geoiplookup my.1password.eu GeoIP Country Edition: DE, Germany
So everything is fine, I was simply wrong :-)
