Ability to add a field to a document?

I'm using the 1password-cli to programmatically create documents, but unlike login items, new documents do not contain a hidden empty password field, thus making it impossible to add a field to a document unless the field already exists.

Is there an alternative method to adding fields to documents via the CLI?

    Not yet. It's something we definitely want to do, but we have to finalize the syntax for it first.
