"New 1Password sign-in from Chrome" when using Edge

Hello 1Password team, today I installed the 1Password X extension on Microsoft Edge from the Edge Add-ons page.

The extension works fantastically, however, I received a "New 1Password sign-in from Chrome" email even though I logged-in from Edge when installing the extension. I think that can be confusing to the user.

I could repro both in Mac OS X 10.14.6 (Edge 84.0.522.63) and Windows 10 1909 (Edge 84.0.522.63). In both cases the extension is 1Password X 1.20.0

Thanks for reporting this!

The new Microsoft Edge is based on Chrome's code, and therefor is being identified as a Chromium browser. However, I'll forward this to our team and see if we can be more specific, even though there are A LOT of browsers that are based on Chrome's code (such as Brave browser, Vivaldi, Opera and a lot more).

I just received confirmation that this was already fixed in 1Password X beta, so hopefully the next update to 1Password X stable will include this fix and you'll get the proper notifications with the correct browser :)
