Changing my 1Password password won't change

I edited my 1Password sign in for a better password in Catalina 10.15.6, 19,1 iMac, 1Password 7.6. I shut down my Mac, then rebooted. Using iCloud as usual. But 1Password opens only w the OLD password. Why?
