Stand-Alone License so don't have a secret key to log in to 1Password X

I have a stand-alone license for 1Password 7 on Mac. I use Dropbox to store my vault. This page https://support.1password.com/secret-key/ says I don't have a secret key and don't need to enter one. When I try to log in to 1Password X without a secret key it won't allow it and insists on a secret key. I want to use 1Password X. How can I do it?

Because 1Password X talks directly to 1Password.com it requires a 1Password membership. You can learn about how to upgrade from a standalone license here:

Move your existing 1Password data to a 1Password account

If you aren't familiar the highlights of the benefits of a membership can be found here:

    About 1Password membership

Considering you've already purchased a license, I would encourage you to email our billing specialists to see what they can do for you in terms of pricing. They can be reached at support@1password.com. I hope that helps! Thanks!
