Can I let 1Password auto-fill in "Apps" that wrap a browser?

Ah, too bad.
I'll have to continue my way less secure Keyboard Maestro macros (that invoke 1Password and copy/paste credentials) then...

It has been a long time since I looked into / used "SSBs" (single site browsers), but as I recall both Chrome and Firefox used to offer options for doing this. If those SSBs are still available / being updated, and they support Chrome / Firefox extensions, it may be possible to install 1Password X inside on. It would not be possible to use the companion extension, as we wouldn't have code signatures for the SSB in 1Password for Mac, but 1Password X is a possibility.

Hm. Did not consider those. Thanks for mentioning this.

I tried it in Firefox, using these instructions: https://www.maketecheasier.com/enable-site-specific-browser-firefox/
Unfortunately 1Password does not recognise the site (I tried https://fastmail.com) in SSB mode and does not autofill, so this failed.
I don't want Google software on my systems, so I won't try Chrome.

Oh, you suggested 1Password X; I tried the regular Firefox extension...

The companion extension definitely isn't going to work due to code signatures, however 1Password X may. :)

And it does support third-party password managers, like 1Password! :)

Two things I don’t understand though:
- How can these wrapper Apps tag text fields in a web page?
- How can these third-party Apps associate a domain if they don’t have access to the server?
(I guess problem 2 is way harder than problem 1)
