Question about account setup/emergency backup kit

Hello,

I was wondering if the QR code that is generated in the app is equivalent in functionality to the full emergency kit pdf, e.g. do I only need that and my master password to set up a new device?

    Hi @themtthw! Welcome to the forum!

    Yes, it's like using the Emergency Kit, just faster since it fills most information for you. And you are right that you will also need your Master Password: if you scan the QR code, it will fill your email address, your Secret Key and your Sign In Address, but you will still need to enter your Master Password manually.
