New Safari update disables browser extension

This morning I woke up to find Safari had updated itself to 14.0 (15610.1.28.1.9, 15610) and blew out the browser extension in the process. However in the Safari Preferences panel, Extensions, 1P is checked showing that 1P 7.6 is installed and has permission. Thinking to uninstall and reinstall, I clicked the uninstall button but it says I have to go to the Applications folder and completely uninstall 1P. What say you?

Restarting Safari a second time fixed it.
