Template browser autofill
Hi,
We are using a custom template to store our login info and noticed it is not working with browser autofill. Are there any instructions how to make a template work with the autofill? Should there be fields with specific names or does the order matter?
Regards,
Mats Malmsten

The templates that 1Password can fill from are limited to Logins, Passwords, Credit Cards, and Identities. As it stands it isn't possible to fill from a custom template I'm afraid. Perhaps that is something we'll be able to do in a future version. :)

Ok, thanks for confirming. Would be really useful to at least be able to map some fields like login and password from a custom template also.

@Ben Is there any way to mass convert from one template to another?

You may be able to script something for doing that using our command line tool (CLI):
1Password command-line tool: Getting started
We do not have native support for converting from one template to another, though; my apologies.

We are also hit by this "issue". It would be very nice to be able to use custom templates for autofill (in our case mysql database/phpMyAdmin). Otherwise you would have to create two entries. One based on a custom template and another one of type "Login" to be able to use autofill. @Ben is it possible to post a feature request anywhere?

@cake2k is definitely not the only one who would find this useful.
