Can't sync from iphone to mac

I upgraded my 1password on my laptop and have never been able to sync to the same vault used by my iphone again - the iphone is correct. Now my phone is dying and I will probably lose all my passwords.

My IPHONE sees a few vaults:

  • PRIMARY is on ICLOUD (537 items) - This is the correct file.
  • 1PASSWORD is on Dropbox (503)
  • PERSONAL says Linda Hardwick (7)

MAC: sees:

  • PERSONAL says Linda Hardwick (7)

I could be wrong, but the place where things fall apart for me is on the Mac / Preferences there currently is not link to Sync to a vault, and I can't see how to change / link to a new vault to link it to the one on iCloud.

Help? Thank you -

Linda

    Hi @lindalemonjello

It sounds like you've upgraded to the current version of 1Password but haven't yet completed the migration process. The "Personal" vault would be the most appropriate one to use going forward and is what will be synced by 1Password. As such, here is what I'd recommend:

    1. Move the items from the Primary vault to the Personal vault, using these instructions: https://support.1password.com/move-copy-items/
    2. Verify you can sign in at https://my.1password.com/ and that by clicking on your Personal vault there you can see all of your items
    3. If you have not already, print a copy of your Emergency Kit. Optionally, write in your Master Password. Store this document someplace safe, such as a fire safe or bank deposit box. https://support.1password.com/emergency-kit/
    4. Verify all of the information is correct on the Mac

If everything looks okay in steps 2 & 4, you can then uninstall & reinstall the app on the iPhone, and sign back in to your account. From there on everything should be in sync between the two devices.

    I hope that helps!

    Ben
