Were automatic updates enabled automatically?

1P version 7.7 just installed itself while I was still reading the release notes.

After I opened it up again, I noticed that automatic updates were enabled.

When were they enabled and why was I not informed about it?

    Hi @PreCTANT!

    I think this is the default setting ever since 1Password 7 was released 2 years ago, but I might be wrong since it happened so long ago. If you don't want automatic updates, you can disable them under 1Password Preferences > Updates tab, and uncheck Automatically check for updates.
