Chrome extension problems

chrome extension latest from store
Mac OS big sur
Just after updating both the desktop version and the mac OS, my chrom extensions no longer is working. It tells me I need to install the desktop app (which is installed). I tried reinstalling the extension but the issue persists.
Is this a known bug? Or does anyone have an idea onhow to fix this?

This can happen in certain cases after an update, either of Chrome or of 1Password. Can you please quit Chrome completely, quit 1Password completely (right-click on 1Password mini in the menu bar at the top right of your screen > Quit 1Password Completely), and then relaunch both?
