Why is my Mac Firefox 1Password icon blank?

I'm running MacOS 10.15.6, Firefox 83.0 and 1Password 7. I have the companion extension installed. I originally had the "blinking icon" problem that I resolved by completely quitting out of 1Password and Firefox. I reinstalled the extension but now the icon is blank. How can I fix this?
