1P 7.7 Mac and Safari 13.1.3: UX Regression?

1Password 7.7 seems to have introduced an additional step when entering the credentials with Safari 13.1.3.

I am using a MacBook Pro with a fingerprint reader and macOS 10.15.7.

Previously:
1. Select the ID field of a website.
2. 1Password displays a dialogue box and asks for the fingerprint: press the fingerprint on the reader.
3. 1Password populates the ID and password fields: press enter and done!

Now with 1Password 7.7:
1. Select the ID field of a website.
2. New step: 1Password displays a dialogue box and asks for launching 1Password: click to accept.
3. 1Password displays a dialogue box and asks for the fingerprint: press the fingerprint on the reader.
4. 1Password populates the ID and password fields: press enter and done!

Could you please confirm the new 4-step procedure? How to resume with the previous faster 3-step procedure?

Thank you!

    Similar regression when calling 1Password:

    • The main window shows up but looses the focus.
    • The password dialogue box pops-up but also looses the focus.

I have to click on the password dialogue box to activate it.
