Default window size for 1Password mini
In the grand scheme of things this is the smallest of niggles, but I run into it often enough that I'd like to try to sort it out once and for all or accept that it's just the way it is!
When 1Password is quit completely and restarted, the default mini window is too small for my liking. I guess it makes sense for laptop screens, but on my 27" iMac it's too mini and I prefer something taller, see screenshots attached. So multiple times a week when I invoke the mini window I have to resize it to what I prefer, and it never survives a reboot, always reverting to the default size. It's been this way for a while.
I guess my question is this: is it just me or is this the built-in behaviour of 1Password?

Hi @moosh!
If I resize 1Password mini and then completely quit 1Password ( (right-click on 1Password mini in the menu bar at the top right of your screen > Quit 1Password Completely), and then relaunch 1Password, 1Password mini remembers the size for me. I am on the latest beta at the moment, so I wonder if that could make any difference.
Would you be willing to update to the beta and see if that works for you too?
Use 1Password beta releases

Hi @ag_ana – just downloaded beta and it's still happening for me. When quit 1Password completely and reopen it, the mini window is back to it's default size.
I also have an issue with my Finder window which frequently reopens to a tiny size – was hoping the mini window was a 1Password thing an not a "my system" thing, as that's what it now looks like.
Appreciate it's not within the scope of 1Password support but if you had any tips or pointers as to why this might be happening I'm all ears.

The only thing I can think of is if you have some sort of apps or system extensions that have something to do with window management. Something running in your macOS menu bar perhaps?

I searched this on Google a little bit though, and it does look like you are not the only one experiencing this in macOS (I mean with regards to Finder not remembering the new size). There are a few suggestions on how to change plist files and the like, so I don't feel comfortable sharing these here on the 1Password forum. But I wonder if addressing this at the macOS level will also help with the 1Password window size.

Thanks @ag_ana – the only window management app I've ever used is Moom and I've tested with it uninstalled.
The Finder thing drives me insane because I'm constantly using it. Trust me, I've been through all the options about making the Finder window size stick (many multiple times!) and none have worked.
Ah well it was worth a try asking – thanks for weighing in.

I have the same problem and I find it very annoying :'(

Resizing the window, then Quit Completely (Control Option Command Q) worked for me.
