    Me too. 2020 MacBook Pro with Secure Enclave. Running Big Sur and 1P 7.7. Interesting thing is my Apple Watch clicks like it does when un-locking the Mac. Here is what I get.

    I tried un-checking touchID and I still get a watch click, but this is what it shows:

    What happens when you double-click the side button on your Apple watch when you see the prompt in your second screenshot?

    I feel very foolish!! Double-clicking the side button un-locks 1P. I never even looked at my watch because un-locking my Mac doesn't require that. I assumed 1P un-locked the same way, especially since I was getting the same haptic tap. Thank you!
