Touch ID too touchy in iOS

Back in January 2017, there was a question in the community:
TouchID too finicky, would be nice to have another "shortcut" password available

I did not search for help on this back then, but am having that exact problem now - in the winter, Touch ID for me is very touchy, and I have to constantly update my fingerprints. As I result, I often have to input my 1Password Master Password, which is fairly complex. It looked for using a passcode as I used to before, but don't see that as an option.
Any help or suggestions?

I have Auto Update checked, but not for Beta.

    Hi @davet65!

    There is no way to use a passcode instead of the Master Password, but perhaps you could make the Master Password itself easier to type. Have you considered using a word-based password, in case you are not using one already?
