i bought ipassword 5 some time ago; is that now obsolete? Sorry but I'm not that interested in paying a monthly fee for the upgrade.

    Yes, 1Password 5 was retired and hasn't been updated 4 years ago, after originally being released 6 years ago. It is not compatible with modern versions of macOS. A 1Password membership would be the way forward with 1Password. I see you've also emailed us with this inquiry. We can discuss in more detail via email. We'll be in touch there ASAP.
