App -> Family (data retention)

edited December 2020 in Memberships

A pal of mine is upgrading from in-app purchase to a family plan. The automated support response says "you'll need to cancel your subscription with Apple". If he does this, will he lose his logins? I'd guess no, they'll stay in some on-line vault and when you reactivate they'll be downloaded again. Is this correct?

  • So,

    He cancelled his in-app plan, he bought a family plan. Fine. Now we've copied all of his "Personal" items to his Family/Private vault. But we're having trouble deleting the old "personal vault" Tried the help/tool but "migration" was grayed out no matter which vault we chose.

    Also tried right-clicking on the personal vault, no "delete vault" option was shown.

    @boberonicus

    Were you able to complete the transition?

    You would need to open 1Password > Preferences > Accounts and remove the individual account.

  • Thanks for following up. Yeah, we eventually figured out how to remove the individual account. All set.

    That's great news.
