Old mac with version 6

I have one old mac (macbook pro with el capitan (10.11) that can't be upgraded to use 1P ver7. It's not a frequently used machine but it's handy to have passwords on it. Will version 6 be able to read the version 7 vaults if I upgrade everything else to 7? "Everything else" is an iMac with big sur (11.1), iphone and ipad with ios 14.3.
