Where did the password history go?

I no longer see the password history in each login item.

Did you remove that (extremely useful) password history list or did you move it elsewhere?

Thanks,

    @Mork

It has been moved. Hover your mouse over the password field in 1Password. At the end you will see a "v", click it to expose the new location of your password history.

    Thanks so very much!!!!

Glad to see that feature is still there.

    Excellent.

I would recommend having the sort go the other way though: most recent password at the top of the history list, not at the bottom.

    Thanks again.

On behalf of ag_tommy, you are welcome @Mork! And thank you for the update and for the suggestion :)

  • Hi @Mork

I would recommend having the sort go the other way though: most recent password at the top of the history list, not at the bottom.

This improvement has been made in the 7.7.1 BETA-5 version, if you'd like to give it a try:

    Use 1Password beta releases

I'm assuming that release will be available for perpetual users?

    Thanks Ben.

  • I think 'perpetual' may be a bit of a misnomer, but yes, all 1Password 7.x releases (from our website) are available to customers who have purchased 1Password 7 licenses. Upgrades beyond v7 would not be included.

Are you saying that 1P will no longer be offering perpetual (non subscription) beyond version 7? I hope that's not the case, but there are free options out there if so. I don't mind paying for 1P, just don't want: (1) subscriptions (good for your cash flow, I know), or (2) My data on your servers. Thanks,

  • That's much more than what I'm saying. All I'm saying is that versions beyond v7 are not included with a v7 license. Details beyond that about future versions haven't been announced yet. :) That said there is no doubt that 1Password membership is where our development efforts are and will be focused, and so I think it may be worth reaching out to our team at support@1password.com to discuss the concerns you highlighted.

Thanks Ben. Sorry, I didn't mean to extrapolate beyond what you said. :)

However, I'll stick with the perpetual version, and gladly pay for an upgrade to version 8 (perpetual), but subscription only at some point means I leave 1Password behind, albeit sadly.

    Thanks again.

  • On behalf of Ben, you're welcome.
