I download !password7 to my new Mac and the safari extension is not working.

Can you please elaborate on what you mean by "not working"? What have you tried so far and what is happening exactly?

I can see the logo in the top bar of my Mac but I do not have the logo in the browser as before. If I open a webpage I do not get the option to choose the password, instead I have to open the 1password 7 application and copy the password and pase it. The extension is activated in safari but again is not working as the previous versions of the software

Can you confirm that the extension is actually activated under Safari Preferences > Extensions tab? It should look similar to this:
