I have a family plan and one of my devices, a Mac laptop, is not synching with the others.
I've had 1Password for some time now, and the 1Password.agilekeychain file is visible in Dropbox on my Mac laptop. I'm not sure if I moved or deleted anything. My iMac and iPhone are synching properly but I notice that my laptop is not. Can I regenerate the keychain or otherwise fix the synch? I've seen answers but they're from 2014 and the 1Password interface has changed so much they are not helpful to me.

How are your other devices configured to sync? I see similar questions when someone has moved to one of our membership offerings, and the Primary vault remains on one device? The Primary vault is not compatible with our membership offers and causes confusion syncing. Could you check your other devices for a Personal/Private vault?

Thanks for the reply. I do have a personal vault on my iPhone, my iMac and my laptop. My wife and daughter may have personal vaults as well. How do I fix this? Is there a link to an explanation of the process? We've had your product for years, so the transition to a family plan may be the problem. Obviously we don't want to lose the data in our personal vaults, but we could move it as required.

To reaffirm the Personal/Private vault is a part of your membership this is where you would want all of your data to reside. The Primary vault would need to be removed after you have moved any data over.
Check to make sure all of your data is available on https://my.1password.com and ensure you have a copy of your Emergency Kit.
If needed copy or move any items from your Primary vault to your membership vault (Personal/Private) that are not already present.

I don't seem to have a primary vault on any device, so that's good. The new 1Password login that had not synched, did finally show up on my laptop after 2 days. It was on my iPhone much earlier. So I'll assume it was some kind of glitch. Is the Family Plan synching done via the web? If so, do I still need the 1Password.agilekeychain files in Dropbox or is that now obsolete? Thanks very much.

If you no longer need the keychain, you can remove it. The file is likely very small. You may want to keep it around for a period of time before removing it. I typically use the year mark when deciding to purge old things I no longer use. But yes, if all of your data is within 1Password, you can remove the keychain in Dropbox. 1Password does not use Dropbox for your syncing needs.
You're welcome. :chuffed:
