how do I manually enter code into this authentication app?

I'm trying to create an account at login.gov, they have provided me with a temporary code to enter into the 1Password app, to be followed by a verification code provided by the app. I can't find where to enter the code into 1Password.

    What sort of temporary code are you referring to exactly? Is it a number, or something else?
