read only 1password7

Having trouble with my 1password7.
1. I could not edit my files on Mac, but I can on IOS
2. The Welcome 1password7 banner keeps on popping to every time i double click on an entry, instead of opening up my browser.
3. The 1password7 icon on Safari won't do anything if I click it.

Extension Version: 7.7
OS Version: Big Sur 11.1
Sync Type: iCloud
Referrer: forum-search:I have 1password7 for mac and I could not edit my passwords.

    Hi @andyv! Welcome to the forum!

    Have you activated your 1Password app with either a subscription or a valid license? The behavior you are describing is the one where the app runs without having been activated, in which case it becomes read only.

    I bought this from apple store 2 yrs ago and have to redownload it because i bought a new macbook

    If you downloaded the 1Password app from the Mac App Store in the past, please make sure you download the version you purchased. Instead of downloading it from the Mac App Store search results, please download 1Password from your purchase history (Mac App Store > Your name in the bottom left corner of the app).
