Why use 1Password?

Newbie alert! Anything that keeps my data secure is good, so (going by what the marketing says) 1Password is in the right ballpark. But why do I need it? Whever I need a password, MacOS offers a strong one, different every time, which is then networked to my iPhone. So I guess my question is, what does 1P do that the Mac doesn't? Supplementary question: is a really simple 'getting started' guide available for time-poor users who need the benefit but are allergic to the techno nitty-gritty :) ?

    1Password works also with non-Apple devices, for example, so you could also use it on a Windows PC or Android phone. In addition to this, 1Password handles much more information than just passwords. This is a screenshot of the current list of categories which you can store inside 1Password:
