Logging onto web accounts with 1Password
Just started using 1password.
And yikes(!) all the problems mentioned on this support community has me wondering if the app is worth the trouble.
Here are two questions:
When I log onto an account 1password does not ask me if I want to save my password on 1password (as promised on the “getting started” page). How do I get 1password to save my various web account passwords?
Also, Chrome always asks if I want to save my password. Including when I log onto 1password account. Is that separate from 1Password and if I save it there am I defeating the purpose of 1password?

The browsers are one-upping 1Password in trying to get you to choose and use them to save your passwords, addresses, and credit card info. You'll want to put 1Password solely in charge of handling your secure data and disable each browser from attempting to do so so they won't be fighting each other any longer.

Hi @Ebby!
When I log onto an account 1password does not ask me if I want to save my password on 1password (as promised on the “getting started” page).
Can you confirm that you have installed the 1Password browser extension in your browser? What version are you currently using?

Yes, this is why we recommend disabling the feature in your browser so it does not interfere with 1Password:
Turn off the built-in password manager in your browser
