I've lost the ability to use TouchID with all browser extensions on my MBP

I have a 2019 MacBook Pro 15" running fully updated MacOS 11.2.

I am a heavy user of the 1Password as I am frequently logging in and out of various accounts for software testing purposes, so was also a heavy user of the TouchID button. Over the past week(ish) the option to use fingerprint login has disappeared on Chrome and Safari (never did work in Firefox or Edge).

I've tried everything I can think of - reinstalled all extensions a couple of times. Reinstalled 1Password app then reinstalled all extensions. Have even tried installing the Beta versions. Can't figure out how to make it come back.

TouchID works with the 1Password app.

1Password Version: 7.7.1.BETA-6 (70701006)
Extension Version: 1.22.3
OS Version: MacOS 11.2
Sync Type: ?

If you're using Chrome and 1Password X. Touch was removed last year for a code refresh. We hope to have it back soon. What version of the extension are you using?

    In Chrome it's 1.22.3

And I lied, Safari is working ok after a reboot.

So it's likely that I updated the Chrome extension and that's when I lost TouchID? Any idea how long it might be until it comes back - and I'm fine running beta? Thanks

Sadly, I do not have a time frame. We do not have a beta at this point. I am as anxious as you to see it return. Be sure to watch the forum/community. I am sure once we have more on it, it will be posted here.
