Why don't suggestions work, but typing the same thing the suggestion says does work
Example:
I have an app open named "Descript".
I press the keyboard shortcut to open the 1Password mini.
The suggestion, based on the open app, is "descript". It shows no results for the suggestion.
I type the same thing as the suggestion, "descript", into the search box and the correct result appears.
This is how all my suggestions work, it never gives me results based on suggestions. I always have to type out the search term to get results. Please help. Thanks.

It sounds like the Mac app may be offering all items instead of suggestions. Can you try the following and let me know how it goes?
- Open 1Password > Preferences > Mini and change the Open 1Password To -- to anything other than suggestions.
- Look for our helper in the menu bar near the WiFi indicator and the clock. Right-click on the helper and select quit 1Password completely. Wait a few seconds and then open 1Password from the Dock or the Applications folder.
- Open 1Password > Preferences > Mini and change the Open 1Password To -- to suggestions

Additionally, do you happen to have the vault this items resides in deselected in 1Password > Vaults > Show in All Vaults?

I just followed your instructions and it didn't work, still no results in the suggestions.

With the descript app on the screen click the generate password button and save the password this will be temporary. Open the newly created password and you should see something like this. Try adding this new entry to your original login. Delete the temporary password if desired.

That works. Thanks. Is there some way to do this automatically, or at least find the app url without creating a temp login?

I am not aware of another way to do this with 1Password I am afraid. You can look for this information directly within the app's configuration, but I am not sure it will be quicker than this method.
