Suggestion: Auto-fill in browser
Hello people on earth,
I have a suggestion about the browser extension of 1Password:
I don't know if this has been suggested in the past, but here's the thing: How about the function to automatically fill in the credentials?
What I mean with that:
Imagine you visit the website of your bank and click on "Online Banking" then 1Password should fill in the data automatically and you should just click on login.
The prerequisite for this would be, of course, that 1Password is unlocked and the function is enabled. Of course, it really has to be the genuine website and not a fraudulent one. That means you have to be able to have the data filled in.
I think this would increase the convenience significantly.
I am glad to hear your opinion about that.
Thanks for reading.

Hi @Mattis!
Thank you for the suggestion! This has been discussed in the past, but it has never been done for security reasons: we believe that 1Password should only fill when the users tells it to do, it should never autofill information by itself. If you are tricked into visiting a fake website, for example, 1Password should not enter any information anywhere on the page.

Thank you for your response, @ag_ana!
I understand your concerns about security, but I did mean that 1Password only auto-fills if the URL matches. When I create a login it is also saved where I created the login.
I can only log in to the original iCloud.com with my Apple ID. Fake websites will not work because the URL will not match.
Thanks for reading.
