Firefox Extension local database
Hello,
I had to reinstall 1Password add-on for Firefox, I had to log in with my online account. My database is not online but on my Mac. The Add on does not find my entrys. Is it the case, that I can not use it this way anymore and have to upload my database?
BTW: Last days Firefox crashed always after start and it looks like, 1 PAssword was the cause.
Thanks for your help, Mark

Hey @Markfromoverthere ,
Sounds like you were using 1Password Classic previously, and now you've installed the newer 1Password in the browser.
Indeed, 1Password in the browser only works with vaults from your 1Password.com account, and does not work with local vaults in the desktop app. We do recommend you migrate your local vaults to your 1Password.com account and fully enjoy everything 1Password in the browser has to offer, but if you prefer, you can still remove it from Firefox and install 1Password Classic, which connects to the desktop app and works with the local vault there (but it does not show up on its own inside usernames/password fields with suggestions like 1Password in the browser does).
I hope that clarifies the situation!

Hello,
yes, that clarifies the situation. Thank you very much and I found the way to 1Password Classic. My 2 Cent: I find it quite disappointing that without attention 1p in the browser is the default add on for installation. Maybe I did not pay enough attention. I do not understand that 1Password is forcing the online account version. If in future it will not be possible to use a desktop version I will have to look for another app (one with one-time-payment option in addition).
But thank you again for your help
