I am not able to replicate your results using 1Password 7.7.1 beta 7. I'm not in front of a stable release build at the moment. For me, in both places, the shortcuts work as expected.

In my testing, I used the mini or helper at the top of the screen. Is that the same location you see the shortcut not working?

Well, although I think it's unlikely that you can reproduce this problem. Because it is just like the usual operation in the past.

1. click the 1Password icon on the menu bar.
2. Select an entry.
3. click “pin to the screen” bottom? I don't know what the English version is called.
4. cmd-E ←Here I can hear an error beep like other macOS invalid operation.
