UX issues: please make the vault unlock experience better

I'm using 1Password Chrome Extension, but I'm quite bothered by its UX:

Let's say you're on a password form.

It tells you to unlock the vault with Cmd+Shift+X, so you do that in this new window:

After entering your password, you're still left with that new window you got:

I almost never need this window after unlocking my vault.
I only unlock my vault, because I need to enter a password.

So at this point, I have to close this window (an "extra step") every time I unlock my vault.

Finally, I go back to the form, which requires me clicking on the input box again, and click on the password again:

This is simply wayyyyy too many clicks. I keep alternating between windows to get this simple task done.

Recommendation: If you could keep all the interaction right in that little tooltip box below the login form, let me enter my vault password right there, and automatically use the credential entry when there's only 1 applicable credential available, I really appreciate it.

    Hey @ahmetb ,
Thanks for writing to us about this!

The reason a new, separate window pops up for your Master Password is to ensure you will be able to tell the difference between the actual 1Password unlock window and a phishing website who's trying to look like us by showing the Master Password field in a lookalike inline menu or popup. It is pretty crucial (security wise) that we do not show the Master Password field inside the inline menu when you click a field for that reason alone (but there are also other reasons that are less related to security or to this topic).

As for the fact that the window stays open after you input your Master Password - I noticed that you have 1Password set to open to "Favorites", which indeed might be irrelevant because the website you unlocked it on is not one of your favorites. If you set 1Password to open to "Suggestions" instead, when you unlock it you will see the login entry of the website you are visiting immediately, allowing you to simply hit Enter after unlocking and it will autofill the page for you. A lot less clicks and no need to focus the username/password field again after unlocking!

You can set 1Password to open to suggestions by Right clicking the 1Password icon on the top right corner of your browser -> Settings -> General -> Open 1Password to Suggestions.

If you prefer to stick to Favorites, then I'd suggest unlocking 1Password when you launch the browser and start working on the computer. It will remain unlocked until you quit the browser or until the auto-lock idle timer (when you're not touching the computer) kicks in, which can also be modified in the settings.
That way, you won't be bothered with having to unlock 1Password while already on a login page.

I hope you'll find these suggestions helpful!

    That was it, thanks @ag_yaron.
