Hi

I believe Brave is officially support but for some reason 1Password doesn't work well in the browser at all. I have the extension installed.

It doesn't offer to save passwords or show the 1Password icon on fields. I can use the Mac app keyboard shortcut to fill fields though.

1Password Version: 7.7
Extension Version: 4.7.5.90
OS Version: 11.2

In your opening post, you mention using the extension 4.7.5.90, which is our classic extension. In your question, you talk about the 1Password icon in the fields. That would be our 1Password in the browser extension (formerly know as 1Password X). You'll likely want to switch to the newer 1Password extension.

Here is the set of instruction for installing the extension in your browser.

Please only have only one 1Password extension enabled at any given time in the specific browser.

I have just installed this but it seems like I now have to login to this separate to the Mac App?

Is the desktop version no longer supported?

    Hi @matthew2!

Yes. That's right. Actually only the classic extension works together with the desktop app. But 1Password devs are working on a solution to bring this functionality back to the 1Password browser extension formerly known as 1Password X.

@DenalB is correct. We hope to bring this feature into 1Password in the browser soon.

In the meantime, you can choose between 1Password Classic, which connects to the desktop app but doesn't show up inside fields automatically, or you can use 1Password in the browser (1Password X) and unlock it separately (or rather, don't open the desktop app at all but instead start your workflow in the browser).
