Moving a frozen vault

I transitioned from a standalone to a trial membership and had no issues migrating my vault. Before the trial membership was up, I started a family membership. During setup, I was asked if I wanted to add the existing account, and I did. I went to migrate my preexisting vault into the new private vault, and the option was greyed out (because it wasn't a stand alone account any more). I concluded that the preexisting vault had been added to my account.
However, when the trial period expired, my preexisting vault, with all my information, was frozen. I can still view individual items, but I can't move them.
Manually copying them one by one is possible, but not practical.

Hi @tbdot! Welcome to the forum!

Can you please clarify something? When you migrated to a 1Password account, did you actually end up creating two accounts, one that is now frozen and one that is active?

That is apparently what happened. I thought the accounts were consolidated into one account, but apparently not. Both vaults are still visible when I log in, but one is frozen.

  • Thanks @tbdot. You can select all of the items by switching the to vault in the frozen membership and then pressing Cmd+A. Then use the Item > Copy to Vault menu to copy them to the new 1Password Families-based vault. Once you've confirmed all of your information is in the correct membership, which you can verify by signing in at https://my.1password.com using the family account credentials, you can delete the frozen individual membership:

    I hope that helps!
