Problems with 1P and Chrome and Brave in Catalina

problems with 1P and chrome and brave in Catalina. latest updates on all

  • but 1P doesn't see the 1p ext in chrome or brave - (safari and FF are ok).
  • keeps asking to install 1p ext
  • I remove then reinstall several times - but no go
  • note chrome has several (people) and they all have the 1- ext - could that be a problem
  • how do I fix this?

1Password Version: 7.7
Extension Version: lastest on all
OS Version: 10.15.7
Sync Type: iCloud

    Hi @dealtek!

    Can you confirm what version of the 1Password browser extension you have installed in Firefox, and which one you installed in Chrome and Brave instead? I wonder if you perhaps installed two versions in those browsers, which would explain the different behavior you are seeing.

    sure ff 4.7.5.90
    chrome 1.23.0 - 1p suggested this version ... how do I get the other version?
    brave has 2 nutty 1.23.0 was on and 4.7.5.90 now set to on and works ok

    @dealtek

    The Chrome version you have installed (1.23.0 )is 1Password in the browser. Formerly known as 1Password X. That version of the extension will not work unless you have a membership. I have seen a few occurrences of this today in the community. If you're not using one of our memberships, you'll need to install the classic extension.
