slow response from chrome add-in?

I am using the 1.23.0 version of the chrome add-in together with the desktop Version 7.7.1.BETA-8 (70701008).
Lately (after I installed Big Sur, not sure about the timing?) I have this weird issue where the browser add-in needs to unlock (Shift-Cmd-x), the add-in password field appears and I start filling out the master password. Only the first few dots appear, but when I keep typing (dots not appearing) and press enter, I do login to the account and the password fill at the form fields populates.
Anyone else seen this behaviour?

Hi @dutch!

Is this happening perhaps on a secondary display? If it is, please take a look at this discussion on the forum, I wonder if the same thing is happening to you.

this is wonderful, you hit it on the head. I just tested it on my retina screen and no lag at all. Even with the 2K monitor attached. Weird issue, and sorry I blamed 1password. :|
