Lack of Chromium Support on 1Password7 for Mac

Hello, I typically use Chrome as my browser however, for a variety of reasons, I am trying to now use Chromium instead.

However, one issue I'm seeing with this transition is that 1Password 7 is not able to "suggest" logins properly for the right URL in Chromium. For example, if I hit the "Command-Option-\" combo while on facebook.com within Chrome, it will correctly fill in "facebook.com" as the suggestion.

However, if I hit the same combination while in Facebook on Chromium:

It just shows "Chromium" as the suggestion, forcing me to search for the site I want

Is there anyway I can have "suggestions" populate the URL I am currently on in Chromium when opening 1Password 7, like it does for Chrome ( and Safari and Firefox)?

  • @orlandoc1618,

Chromium is not a codesigned web browser, and according to the developers it will never be. The end result of that is that 1Password for Mac won't talk to the browser extension when installed in it. If you're looking to use 1Password in chromium you're going to need to have a 1Password.com account and use 1Password in the browser available from: https://1password.com/downloads/mac/#browsers
