Cannot add additional user in 1Password X

I am unable to add an additional user in 1Password X. I have a Family subscription, and the account I want to add is a user in the same Family Account. When I go to 1Password X and click on "Sign in to another account", a new tab opens where I can fill in the login credentials of the user. Once I press login, the page is stuck, and keeps showing a spinning icon:

If I reload the page I am presented to the login window again. And in this case entering the password and logging in does work. However, the account is not added to 1Password X. I have tried to add the users in different browsers on two different operating systems:

• MacOS 11.2.2 with Firefox 86.0 and 1Password X 1.23.1
• Windows 10 with Google Chrome 89.0.4389.72 and 1Password X 1.23.1

In both situations I cannot login when going through the 1Password X extension to sign in to another account. Regular sign-in does work.
Has anyone encountered something similar, and knows a solution to this problem? Or is it a bug in the extension?

Have you give it a try using a different browser profile. Multiple members of the same family account cannot be signed into the Mac app at the same time. I suspect you may be in a similar situation. A different browser profile should clear that up.

Hi ag_tommy, thanks for your reply. This does indeed work. However, the browser profile experience in Firefox is not really intuitive for some of the family members. An alternitive could be using a different browser per user, but I would rather have it just under one profile and browser if possible. I was hoping for some kind of functionality of selecting the account when unlocking the 1Password X extension, just as on the 1Password website itself:

Unfortunately the 1Password apps and the 1Password extensions can not switch between accounts from different family members, they work differently than the website. Only there can you select the account you want to login to. In your case, I think using multiple profiles will be easier than using multiple browsers (similarly to how you might use multiple user accounts when you login to your computer, for example).
