Is the login user name field suspicious of the "@" as an initial character?

I discovered my Twitter Login user name had suddenly dropped the initial "@" and failed on that account. This had been stably functional for some time and editing the character back in restored the functionality. Is this a one off or something that needs attention?

    Hi @johanus,

Are you saying that 1Password changed the Twitter username you had saved in your vault and removed @? Please clarify.

I checked this behavior on Twitter.com just now and was able to sign in to my personal account either way: with @ in my username field and without it. Could you also please specify the version of 1Password that you use in your browser?

    Thanks!

Firefox extension version 1.23.1. Yes, in troubleshooting the login failure it appeared to me that the initial @ was missing from the login name, confirmed by the replacement of the character restoring functionality. This incident was at my work desktop. I had to make the same correction to my iPhone several hours later at home (no sync of the corrected login name had occurred?). If, as you suggest, Twitter is indifferent to the initial @ then I don't know what to make of my experience.

    Hey @johanus

You can check your Twitter login item's history and see if at any point the username was changed: https://support.1password.com/item-history/
If your username wasn't changed at any point and was always missing the @ at the beginning, perhaps something on Twitter's side has changed?

Though Greg mentioned he is able to sign in both with and without the @ character at the beginning so I'm not sure what to make of your specific situation.
If you remove the @ from your username right now, do you get a wrong username/password error when trying to sign in?
