Ability to create alternative password from browser
I was trying to create a new login for a site. I tried using the suggested password, but it did not conform to the password standards for the website. I had to create a weak one and then try editing it later.
When you pop up a suggested password, you should have the option to go generate a custom one and set the parameters (length, number of digits, number of special characters, etc.) A good example of this is the Password Generator tool in Dashlane. It is accessible from their web plugin.

Hello @artinnj,
If you are using Safari, you can edit a password by selecting the 1Password icon in the browser toolbar > Select Generate password and modify it to meet your website requirements.
If you are using another browser, you can modify suggested passwords by selecting the 1Password icon in the browser toolbar > Select the plus icon > Password Generator > Edit the password to your liking > Switch on the "Use as default for suggestions" option.

1Password for iOS does not use a browser extension like the one you use on Mac or Windows, but you can generate custom passwords directly in the 1Password app :+1:

Nhat, thanks for writing back.
Your generator in browser only has boolean options for using digits, symbols or capitals. The website I was trying to create an account for restricts you to only one symbol and one digit, both required. While I know it is crazy for a site to force such restrictions, I am sure there are others out there too. Some additional flexibility; like when you turn on an option you can pick from 0, 1, or random; would be nice to have.
I know that the iOS version lets you find an alternate login to use. It would be nice on that screen to have the option to create a login/password at that time.
Thanks,
Art

Hey @artinnj ,
Indeed, crazy requirements defeat the purpose of creating a strong and secure password if they dictate the entropy (which is weaker compared to a truly random password that we generate). However, you can definitely obtain any type of password you want by editing the generated password right there when you create it - simply click on the generated password (while you are in the generator) and edit it with your mouse and keyboard as you see fit, then click on "Autofill" or copy-paste it into the page.
I hope you won't encounter such websites too often, but if you do, this tip should help you get around when needed :)
