Why can't I use touch Id on Mac to unlock 1password in Microsoft Edge Browser?

In all other browsers on my Mac I can unlock 1password in the browser with Touch ID. Also if already unlocked the 1password app on Mac it's unlocked in the browser as well. BUT on Microsoft Edge (I guess Chromium version?) the Touch ID does not work and the unlocking is not synced with the app. Should Touch ID work for MS Edge?

Hi @nicefred!

Please make sure you download the 1Password classic extension in Microsoft Edge too, which I think is the one you are using in your other browsers, if you are unlocking them with Touch ID:

Touch ID integration was temporarily removed from the new extension while our developers work on replacing it with something that works even better. Please see this announcement here in the forum for all the details:
