Allow the "Update Saved Login" popup to be moved
A website requires a password change.
1. Click in the box and allow 1Password to fill the old password.
2. Click the new password suggested by 1Password to fill in the "Type your new password" field. The Type and Re-Type boxes are filled, and 1Password pops up a box to Update Saved Login. You cannot move this box to see if the suggested password meets the requirements of the website.
3. Click Update Saved Login anyway. The box closes, and your password is updated.
4. Note that there is an error on the website, "you can't use [this character in your password]" try again.
5. Try to fill in your current password. You can't because it has been overwritten by the new unusable password.
6. Use the forgot password option to recover the password that was forgotten because the program designed to remember your password blocked the error message that shows the new password you tried to use is not acceptable.
Please, make the "Update Saved Login" box movable, or shift it off to the side.

@dangit I found this frustrating when first moving to 1Password. If you have already saved the new password in 1Password then you can access the old password by viewing the relevant item at 1password.com and clicking on "Show Previously Used Passwords"

Indeed, as @missingbits mentioned, you can review items history and recover fields that were overwritten like so: https://support.1password.com/item-history/
As ag_ana mentioned, it would be great if you can send us the website so we can investigate the behavior of its change password page (if we can access it) so we can better improve 1Password's suggested passwords on it.
In addition, you can also generate your own passwords instead of using the suggested ones - click the 1Password icon on the top right corner of your browser -> Select the big PLUS icon to reveal the menu -> Select the "Password Generator".

Thanks for the screenshots @dangit .
Seems like it is failing because the password you are autofilling is longer than 12 characters. Please try this:
- Get to the "Change Password" page like in the screenshots you sent.
- Autofill your correct current password in the "Current Password" field.
- Click the 1Password icon on the top right corner of your browser to open 1Password, then select the big PLUS button -> Select the Password Generator.
- While in the generator, change the password type from "Smart Password" to "Random Password".
- Adjust the random password's length to 12, then click on "Autofill".
See if the website accepts that password. If not, edit the recipe further as the website requires and autofill again.

I understood the part about, "failing because > 12 characters" and I went back and manually changed it afterwards, but because the square box blocks it and cannot be moved, I accepted the change. That means going in and looking at password history, copying and pasting my old password back into the box and doing it all manually. There isn't a way to know I'll be taking the long route, until after I click Accept.
Some of these sites' valid special character are limited to specific characters. - works, while & doesn't.
I'm hoping for a way to slide that box out of the way, and make sure everything is green before clicking Accept. Thanks!

Thanks for the clarification @dangit .
You can click "Cancel" when the save prompt box shows up. If all the requirements are valid, you can trigger the save prompt again (by right clicking 1Password's icon on the top right corner of your browser and selecting "Save Login").
Thanks for the feedback here though, it is very valuable.

Brilliant! I'll give this a shot!
